"Broken Vases"

Broken Vases is my version of beauty found in fragmentation, where imperfect, unexpected pieces somehow fit together. 

Created with handmade archival, eco-friendly earth and mineral pigment paint, the surface is layered with gold leaf, copper leaf, mica powder, glass beads, and sand, giving the work a tactile quality that shifts with the light.

The painting doesn’t reveal itself immediately. A strong diagonal cuts through the upper half, meeting a deep teal mass, small vessel-like forms, architectural marks, and quieter passages below. Nothing is perfectly balanced—much like the chaos of a broken vase—yet somehow, it all holds together.

Its sophisticated palette moves between dusty rose, terracotta, mineral green, deep teal, ochre, softened burgundy, and earthy neutrals, punctuated by subtle metallic details.

A piece meant to be experienced slowly—art that invites pause.
